According to the official website of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on November 20, the ninth meeting of the China-Germany Intelligent Manufacturing and Industry 4.0 Standardization Working Group was recently held in Berlin, Germany. The relevant persons in charge of the Equipment Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Digitalization and Innovation Policy Department of the German Federal Ministry of Economy and Energy, the German Electrotechnical Electronics and Information Technology Standardization Committee, and the China Electronics Technology Standardization Institute attended the meeting and delivered speeches. More than 80 representatives from Chinese and German standardization organizations, research institutions and related enterprises attended the meeting.

At the meeting, experts from China and Germany conducted in-depth exchanges on 7 areas including information security, functional safety, industrial network and edge computing, predictive maintenance, digital twin / management shell, artificial intelligence applications and application cases, and reached 14 Consensus, formed five staged results such as the “China-Germany Intelligent Manufacturing, Industry 4.0 Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Test Bed Procedures White Paper”, released the “China-Germany Intelligent Manufacturing, Industry 4.0 Functional Safety White Paper”, and signed the meeting jointly summary.

The Sino-German Intelligent Manufacturing / Industry 4.0 Standardization Cooperation Mechanism was established in May 2015 to implement the “Sino-German Cooperative Action Outline” and promote the integration and cooperation of Sino-German intelligent manufacturing and industry 4.0 standardization strategies. In the past 5 years, nine working group meetings have been held, more than 70 consensuses have been reached, 10 cooperation results reports have been issued, and China and Germany have accumulated more than 200 participating units and more than 500 experts. The cooperation between the two sides has steadily advanced and achieved positive results. It has established a good communication platform for further serving the intelligent transformation of enterprises in the two countries and promoting the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry.
